布鲁斯老 graduated with a Juris Doctorate from UNL’s College of Law in 1980 and began practicing law in North Platte. Teaching a 业务 Law night class at the local community college and helping students pursue their career goals changed his career course. In 1983 he began his academic career at 体育菠菜大平台, teaching a variety of courses in the business law field in the College of 业务 & 技术. Currently he teaches courses in 业务 Law, Commercial Law, and Employment Law. In addition to his teaching duties, he has served as Department Chair, Director of the MBA Program, 体育菠菜大平台 教师 Athletic Representative, Director of New Student 登记 and Enrollment, 教师 Senate President, and the 体育菠菜大平台 Men’s Golf Coach. A licensed attorney in Nebraska since 1980, he is also a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in 业务 (ALSB), University of Nebraska at Kearney 教育 Association (体育菠菜大平台EA), Phi Kappa Phi, and Sigma Beta Delta. His peer reviewed journal articles appear in a number of peer reviewed publications, including Management Research Review, Journal of Financial Service Professionals, Journal of Case Studies, Research on Professional Responsibility and Ethics in Accounting, Great Plains Research, and Public Land Law Review. He has been awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award, Outstanding Service Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award by the College of 业务 & 技术(CBT).

What can I expect in your classroom?
Adjusting to the advances in technology, Professor Elder has abandoned the use of heavy textbooks and chalkboards and changed to e教科书, Power Point slides, 白板, and online homework and testing. His students have responded that they really like the move to online homework and have indicated the usage of modern technology in his courses helps them learn the material and prepare for exams.
He enjoys interacting with his students with lively class discussions and helping them understand the basic legal concepts they will face in their careers and personal lives. 学生 enjoy his use of real-world case examples that reinforce these legal principles.
